Sea kayaking in Alderney is a great experience. The Channel islands are noted for their fast tides and huge tidal ranges, none more so than Alderney with the Alderney race and Swinge where tide streams in excess of 7 knots occur. In storms the overfalls can be huge.
We were sea kayaking around Alderney with some clients who wanted to explore the superb coastline and play in a few tide races.
