Sea Kayak Centre Wins Environment Award
Some months ago we won the prestigious Jersey Enterprise Environment Award. The latest edition of the BCU members magazine Canoe Focus features us in an article.
You can read the article here: Sea Kayak Centre Wins Environment Award.
As part of our commitment to the environment we offer reduced rates if you arrive by public transport as well as providing lots of information about the marine and wildlife of Jersey. We also encourage our clients to pick up one piece of rubbish while paddling to both help clean the seas and raise awareness. Eco and Green activities need not require huge amounts of effort. We ask our suppliers to inform us of their environmental and green policies. We also try to buy UK produced equipment to save on the large transport costs of shipping equipment from the Far East producers.
Our guides are Jersey Tourism and Wild Life Safe trained as well as British Canoe Union (BCU) Coaches. Mick and Derek Hairon recently attended the BCU “Sea kayaking and the Environment” workshop in Swindon to add to our knowledge.
