Trip Planning

The course is suitable for kayakers, paddle-boarders and water sports enthusiasts who want to increase their knowledge to have a safer experience around the coast. We’ll be using Jersey charts, and tidal information during many of the classes and students are encouraged to use their local waters to plan trips. Plus, there is the opportunity to share knowledge with attendees. Since the online courses started, I’ve had students from San Francisco, the UK, Eire, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Chile.

By the end of the course, you will have planned at least two coastal journeys that can be taken home and used as references for future trips.

Upon satisfactory completion of the course, a British Canoeing certificate of attendance is included in the cost.
